Professional Wildfire Risk Assessment
Jackson Renovation & Construction meets you at the property, goes through your concerns, and inspects the home and grounds against IBHS Wildfire Prepared Home standards. We identify what is wrong, specify how to correct it, and design the wildfire defense system that belongs on that property.
This is not a walk-through with a verbal summary. It is a working inspection that turns into a professional, multipage report.
The Inspection Produces a Hardening List and a Defense System Design
The inspection produces two things: a list of required hardening, and a wildfire defense system laid out for that property. We inspect against IBHS Wildfire Prepared Home standards and take the time on site to go through the findings with you.
Your questions drive the meeting, whether that’s insurance requirements, an unoccupied house, limited water, access, or how to get the property protected.
Defensible space zones and the areas a wildfire risk assessment covers.
A Multipage Report You Can Use for Planning, Contracting and Insurance
After the inspection you receive a multipage professional report. It documents the condition of the property, the IBHS findings, and the recommended work in enough detail to use for planning, contracting, and insurance conversations.
- A written record of the inspection and the owner’s stated concerns
- Photographs of the conditions that matter
- Deficiencies and the recommended correction for each
- Home-hardening scope
- Wildfire defense system design, covering exterior irrigation, water storage, pumps and controls
- Vegetation pre-treatment where it suits the property, as an alternative to a water defense system rather than an addition to it
- A priority order so the first work is the work that changes the risk
The report is the basis for the job, not a brochure.
Hardening and the Defense System Are Written as One Scope
Home hardening and the wildfire defense system are written as one scope. You are not sold vents, irrigation and hardening work as separate extras. The report gives you the recommended work and a scope you can proceed with.
JRC is capable and fully equipped to construct any or all of the improvements listed in the report.
